Instructions

Read the following instructions carefully

General Instructions:

The total duration of the examination is 90 minutes. A scientific calculator is available on the top right-hand side of the screen.

The clock is set on the server. The countdown timer at the top right of the screen shows the time left for you to complete the exam. Once the timer hits zero, the exam closes on its own — you don't need to submit it manually.

The Question Palette on the right side of the screen shows the status of every question using the symbols below:

1 You have NOT visited the question yet.
2 You have NOT answered the question.
3 You have answered the question.
4 You have NOT answered the question, but have marked it for review.
5 You have answered the question and marked it for review. This response will still be evaluated.

You can click the arrow next to the question palette to collapse it and maximise the question window. Click again to bring the palette back.

Navigating to a Question

To answer a question, do one of the following:

  1. Click a question number on the palette to jump straight to it. Note that this does not save your answer on the question you're leaving.
  2. Click Save & Next to save your current answer and move to the next question.
  3. Click Mark for Review & Next to save your answer, flag the question for review, and move on.
Answering a Question

Multiple Choice (MCQ):

  1. Click an option to select it as your answer.
  2. Click the selected option again, or click Clear Response, to deselect it.
  3. Click a different option to change your answer.
  4. You must click Save & Next to save your answer.
  5. Click Mark for Review & Next to flag the question for review.

Multiple Select (MSQ):

  1. Tick the checkbox next to each correct option — one or more out of the four choices.
  2. Untick a choice, or click Clear Response, to remove it from your answer.
  3. To swap a choice, untick it first and then tick the new one.

Numerical Answer Type (NAT):

  1. Use the on-screen numeric keypad below the question to enter your answer.
  2. Click Clear Response to clear what you've entered.

To revisit and change an answer you've already saved, open that question again and follow the same steps.

Navigating Through Sections

Sections appear in the bar at the top of the question window — click a section name to jump to it; the section you're currently on stays highlighted.

Hitting Save & Next on the last question of a section automatically takes you to the first question of the next one.

You're free to move between sections and questions in any order, as long as you're within the overall time limit.

A quick summary for each section — how many answered, unanswered, marked, etc. — is shown above the question palette whenever that section is open.
